Morten Andresen is an Oslo-based street photographer and co-founder of Streetianity, a creative platform he runs together with his wife, photographer Eva Brodtkorb. With a background in the commercial television industry, he spent nearly two decades working as a director and post-producer before gradually shifting his focus toward photography.
His work is known for a distinct and recognizable style, often shaped by his use of light, shadows, and color. He draws inspiration from everything around him, but especially from his years in television, where capturing and holding the viewer’s attention is key.
Growing up, he was heavily inspired by colorful cartoons and comics, and originally dreamed of becoming a cartoonist, an influence that still finds its way into his work.
He has always had a strong drive to create, whether through drawing, filmmaking, music, or photography. His work focuses on capturing striking visual scenes with a sense of humor, wonder, and the solitude of city life. He has had solo exhibitions and taken part in group exhibitions both nationally and internationally.
Through Streetianity, he and Eva work closely with photographers around the world, selling prints, producing publications, offering workshops, and creating the YouTube series On the Curb with Streetianity, where they meet and talk with photographers in different cities.
