Deadline: 20 August 2026

Competition entries must have been received no later than 12.00 noon Swedish time August 20.
All nominated photos will be exhibited during the Gothenburg Street Photo Festival September 18-19 2026.

Respect for others is important to Carina, both in her work as a social worker and in her photography. With her camera as a companion, she has experienced many adventures over the years, where moments and encounters have always been central.

By chance, Carina ended up in Dublin in 2011. She appreciates Ireland’s beautiful landscapes, but it is the people who draw her back. While she is not a frequent pub-goer in her hometown of Skellefteå, she has explored the pub culture in Ireland—experiencing everything from the calm atmosphere of friends meeting at lunchtime to nights filled with music and dancing. And her camera is always with her.

Carina is both a participant and an observer in her photography. It often begins with photographs of strangers, but her curiosity about the people she meets allows her to get close and hear their stories.

Domare: Morten Andresen
Deadline: 20 August 2026

Competition entries must be received no later than Thursday, August 20 at 12:00.

All nominated images will be exhibited during the Gothenburg Street Photo Festival 2026, September 18–19, 2026.

Morten Andresen is an Oslo-based street photographer and co-founder of Streetianity, a creative platform he runs together with his wife, photographer Eva Brodtkorb. With a background in the commercial television industry, he spent nearly two decades working as a director and post-producer before gradually shifting his focus toward photography.

His work is known for a distinct and recognizable style, often shaped by his use of light, shadows, and color. He draws inspiration from everything around him, but especially from his years in television, where capturing and holding the viewer’s attention is key. Growing up, he was heavily inspired by colorful cartoons and comics, and originally dreamed of becoming a cartoonist, an influence that still finds its way into his work. He has always had a strong drive to create, whether through drawing, filmmaking, music, or photography. His work focuses on capturing striking visual scenes with a sense of humor, wonder, and the solitude of city life.

Domare: Tuna Angel
Deadline: 20 August 2026

Competition entries must have been received no later than 12.00 noon Swedish time, August  20.
All nominated photos will be exhibited during the Gothenburg Street Photo Festival 18-19 September 2026.

Tuna Angel is known for her close-up candid, flash-lit street portraits captured in snap focus. Her work emphasizes raw emotion and spontaneous gestures, free from posed expressions or staged scenes. By using flash, she highlights the subtle mimics and emotional intensity of her subjects, capturing fleeting moments with immediacy and depth.

For Angel, photography is a form of intense personal expression and attentive witnessing. Her images seek to capture moments where aesthetics and lived experience intersect — revealing the emotional textures, social tensions, and cultural rhythms that shape the spirit of an era. Through this practice, she embraces the photographer’s role as both observer and visual chronicler of the zeitgeist.
